Guanacaste Dry Forest Conservation Fund

The Guanacaste Dry Forest Conservation Fund promotes the long-term survival of the ecosystems and biodiversity of the Area de Conservacion Guanacaste through conservation, education, science-based management, and biodiversity development. ACG covers roughly 169,000 hectares of northwest Costa Rica and spans four major ecosystem types: dry forest, rainforest, cloud forest, and marine habitat along 150 kilometers of coastline. The fund supports twelve terrestrial research stations, a coastal presence in Cuajiniquil, and a central laboratory in Sector Santa Rosa.
