Guajome Alliance For Responsible Development

GuARD is a nonprofit, community-based organization working to protect and preserve the semi-rural environment and quality of life of the unincorporated Guajome area of North San Diego County, the area north of Vista, east of Oceanside, and south of Highway 76 and Bonsall within the county's Bonsall Planning Area. It gives the community a way to address land use and environmental issues affecting the region, with stated priorities of minimizing the adverse impacts of development, maintaining the area's rural character, ensuring traffic safety, and protecting Guajome Lake. The group has advocated on responsible development and traffic safety in the area for over two decades.
