Grosse Ile Nature and Land Conservancy

Grosse Ile Nature and Land Conservancy is an independent nonprofit founded in 1993 to promote the preservation, stewardship, and understanding of natural resources in the Township of Grosse Ile, Michigan, and the surrounding area. It protects land through direct ownership and conservation easements, and states it is the only private entity legally authorized to hold such land in the township. The conservancy manages multiple preserves, carries out stewardship of wildlife habitat, wetlands, and scenic landscapes, and runs environmental education on wildlife, ecology, and sustainable homeowner practices.
