Green Environmental Coalition

Green Environmental Coalition formed in 1991 to oppose the burning of hazardous waste at a cement kiln near Fairborn, Ohio, and has since worked on a range of health and environmental efforts in southwestern Ohio. Its current priority is climate action, including a solar cooperative in Yellow Springs, climate education materials for high schools, and school wildlife habitats. It also works to reduce barriers to renewable energy development in Ohio and to hold companies to their sustainability commitments.
