Great Wilderness Scouting runs an inclusive, co-ed outdoor program for young people in kindergarten through 12th grade, describing itself as scouting for the whole family. It operates Pack 202 for K through 5th grade, which meets bi-weekly and holds monthly campouts, hikes and beach trips while teaching outdoor skills and science, and Troop 808 for 6th through 12th grade, which meets weekly with monthly weekend outings focused on leadership and outdoor adventure. Its scouts come from Central Contra Costa County, California, including Walnut Creek, Concord, Martinez, Danville, Clayton, Baypoint and Pittsburg.
