Great Marsh Institute Ltd

The Great Marsh Institute supports scientific study, education, and protection of the Great Marsh in northern Chester County, Pennsylvania, an approximately 700-acre periglacial marsh. It provides researchers with access to the property, technical support, and funding for student interns, and its projects include avian and acoustic monitoring, water quality testing, and control of invasive species such as purple loosestrife and water chestnut. Based in Elverson, Pennsylvania, it also runs public bird walks and naturalist-led programs and manages public access in collaboration with the French and Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust.
