Great Basin Waterkeeper is the Waterkeeper Alliance affiliate program of the Great Basin Water Network, a Nevada-based coalition of conservationists, tribes, farmers, and ranchers formed to keep rural groundwater from being piped to distant cities. Its patrol area covers Snake, Spring, Hamlin, Dry Lake, Delamar, Pine, Wah Wah, Tule, and Fish Springs Valleys in Nevada and Utah. The network opposes large-scale inter-basin water transfers, defends springs and watershed health on public lands, and works on Colorado River management and Nevada water conservation policy.
