Grand Traverse Bay Waterkeeper

The Grand Traverse Bay Waterkeeper is the licensed Waterkeeper program carried by The Watershed Center Grand Traverse Bay, a Traverse City nonprofit that has been a Waterkeeper Alliance member since 2002. The Waterkeeper serves as a water quality resource for citizens, planners and municipalities across the roughly 976 square miles of the Grand Traverse Bay watershed in Antrim, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau counties in northwest Michigan. The work runs through research and monitoring, on-the-ground restoration projects, and volunteer programs such as Adopt-A-Stream and Watershed Warriors.
