Grand Staircase Escalante Partners is a 501(c)(3) founded in 2004 as the friends group for Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in southern Utah, working to safeguard the monument and its connected landscapes and watersheds through science, conservation and education. Working alongside the Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service, its crews and volunteers control invasive species, mitigate erosion, monitor climate and ecological change, and protect threatened species. A Native Plants Program engages seed crews, Tribal partners and volunteers in collecting and cleaning native seed on and around the monument, and volunteer Trail Ambassadors provide hands-on visitor education.
