Grand Riverkeeper

L.E.A.D. Agency (Local Environmental Action Demanded) is a 501(c)(3) based in Miami, Oklahoma that educates the public about environmental concerns in northeast Oklahoma, centered on the Tar Creek Superfund site in Ottawa County. Its work spans the tri-state region of Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri and nine tribal nations, and includes flood risk assessments and survey reports, historical documentation and story maps, and community programs such as summer camps. The organization also hosts the annual Tar Creek Conference and publishes newsletters, press releases and blog coverage of regional environmental issues.
