Grand Prairie Friends

Grand Prairie Friends is a land conservation organization based in Urbana that protects prairie and woodland remnants across east-central Illinois through land acquisition and stewardship. It owns and manages a network of nature preserves, including a recent acquisition of more than 200 acres of sandstone cliffs and oak woodland in the Wabash River Valley. The group runs volunteer habitat restoration workdays, educational programs, and its annual Rattlesnake Master Run for the Prairie.
