Grand Harbor Canal Association

The Grand Harbor Canal Association is a 501(c)(4) formed in November 2024 by residents to maintain and protect the waterways in and around the Grand Harbor and Harbor Side neighborhoods in Montgomery, Texas, on Lake Conroe. It funds scheduled dredging, debris removal, and navigational safety equipment across a 4.5 mile canal system serving 332 waterfront properties, with a stated depth goal of a 3-foot draft for all waterfront lots at 199 feet mean sea level. Work completed in 2025 included removing submerged trees, dredging over 600 cubic yards of silt, and installing 19 navigational buoys, paid for through tiered membership contributions.
