Granby Land Trust

Founded in 1972, the Granby Land Trust works to preserve Granby, Connecticut's natural heritage through conservation of scenic vistas, open space corridors, wildlife habitat, ecologically sensitive areas, and agricultural land. It owns 2,421 acres outright and holds conservation easements on another 1,070 acres, for 3,491 protected acres across preserves including Dismal Brook Wildlife Preserve, the Godard Preserve, and the Mary Edwards Mountain Property. The trust maintains public walking trails on many of its preserves and is accredited by the Land Trust Alliance, with accreditation renewed in 2024.
