Global Ocean Health

Global Ocean Health, founded in 1994 as the National Fisheries Conservation Center and renamed in 2023 after its largest program, is a Seattle based nonprofit working on collaborative solutions to problems confronting the ocean and the people who depend on it. It connects fishing communities, coastal Tribes and First Nations, seafood producers, scientists, and resource managers with the science, policy and technical skills needed to fight, adapt to, and mitigate ocean acidification, sea level rise, and ocean warming. Its premise is that the strongest champions for ocean health are the people who get their food and livelihood from the water.
