Global Fishing Watch Inc

Global Fishing Watch creates and publicly shares knowledge about human activity at sea to enable fair and sustainable use of the ocean. Founded by Oceana, SkyTruth, and Google, it applies satellite imagery, vessel tracking data, and machine learning to detect and map industrial fishing and other activity, then publishes the results as open-access maps and data tools. It also conducts research with academic partners and works with governments on marine monitoring, enforcement, and transparency, including regional programs in places such as Brazil, Gabon, and Rapa Nui.
