Global Coral Reef Alliance Inc

Global Coral Reef Alliance is a nonprofit founded in 1990 dedicated to growing, protecting, and managing coral reefs. It researches the causes of reef destruction, preserves historical reef knowledge, and develops restoration methods, most notably its Biorock mineral accretion technology, which uses low-voltage electrical current to accelerate coral growth and increase survival through bleaching events. It trains local environmental groups and has supported Biorock reef projects in dozens of countries, including Indonesia, the Maldives, Thailand, Jamaica, Mexico, and the Seychelles.
