Glen Canyon Institute is a science-based advocacy nonprofit founded in 1996 and based in Salt Lake City, Utah, dedicated to the restoration of Glen Canyon and a healthy, free-flowing Colorado River through Grand Canyon. It has facilitated scientific studies on canyon restoration and Lake Powell water management, and argues that current reservoir operations waste water to evaporation and seepage. It also produces educational documentaries, hosts screenings, runs community science efforts, and publishes news on Colorado River policy.
