Gaviota Coast Conservancy

Gaviota Coast Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1998 to permanently protect the rural character and environmental integrity of the Gaviota Coast in Santa Barbara County, California, one of the state's last largely undeveloped stretches of coastline. Its work spans preserving rural character, restoring ecological integrity, and enabling public access. Recent efforts include the 3,272-acre Rancho Tajiguas acquisition, steelhead habitat restoration, expanding regenerative agriculture, and protecting endangered species such as the Gaviota tarplant.
