Gallmann Africa Conservancy is the US 501(c)(3) that supports Mukutan Conservancy in Laikipia, on the edge of Kenya's Great Rift Valley overlooking Lake Baringo and Mount Kenya. The conservancy's stated mandate is to conserve biodiversity and natural resources for the people and wildlife of Kenya, through wildlife monitoring and protection, reforestation and carbon sequestration, and research. It also runs the Mukutan Wilderness Education Centre plus health, scholarship and cultural programs with neighboring Kikuyu, Pokot, Samburu, Ilchamus, Tugen and Turkana communities.
