Galapagos Life Fund

The Galapagos Life Fund provides financing to preserve and grow the natural capital of the Galapagos Islands and their marine ecosystems, created to manage proceeds from Ecuador's 2023 debt-for-nature conversion. It awards grants to government agencies, nongovernmental organizations, and individuals based in Galapagos for work spanning biodiversity, marine reserve management, sustainable fisheries, scientific research, environmental education, and sustainable tourism. As of 2025 it reports USD 12.4 million invested.
