Friends of Wildlife Prairie Park operates Wildlife Prairie Park, an 1,800-acre zoological park in Hanna City, Illinois, just west of Peoria. The park houses more than 180 animals across over 60 species native to the Midwest, including bison, bears, cougars, elk and wolves. It runs school field trips, conservation programs and outdoor recreation such as hiking, biking, kayaking and camping, with a stated aim of fostering deeper understanding and appreciation of the natural world.
