Friends Of Weedon Island Inc

Friends of Weedon Island is a nonprofit founded in 1992 that supports Weedon Island Preserve on the western shore of Tampa Bay in St. Petersburg, Florida. Its stated mission is protecting the preserve by educating, preserving, and safeguarding its natural and cultural treasures. It provides financial and volunteer support for student and adult education programs, conservation initiatives, and advocacy for the preserve's habitat, ecology and cultural history, and helped secure funding for the preserve's Cultural and Natural History Center.
