Friends Of Waterford Park Inc

Friends of Waterford Park, Inc. is a volunteer group that stewards Waterford Park, a city park in Frederick, Maryland, established in 2005 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 2015. Its goal is to develop the site as a passive park using native plants to enhance the area for wildlife and to educate the public about the benefits of native plants, while keeping room for the park's other existing uses. Work includes native plantings, erosion control, tree and bench donations, guided tours and a quarterly newsletter, funded by grants, membership dues and community donations.
