Friends Of The Tonto National Forest Inc

Friends of the Tonto National Forest is a group of volunteers who assist the Forest Service in its mission of natural and cultural resource and visitor use management across Arizona's Tonto National Forest. Its projects include invasive plant removal events focused on fountain grass and buffelgrass, riparian photopoint monitoring by repeat photography, saguaro health citizen science, and milkweed conservation for monarch butterflies. Volunteers also maintain trails in the Cave Creek and Mazatzal Wilderness areas and adopt recreation sites on the forest.
