Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River is a Woodstock, Virginia nonprofit founded in 1988 that works to protect the North Fork of the Shenandoah River on the belief that a healthy river creates healthy communities. Its work spans education programs for all ages, volunteer stewardship projects in the watershed, river monitoring that shares data on changing conditions, and advocacy with local leaders. It also convenes volunteers, schools, businesses, and agencies around river protection and runs a friends group for Seven Bends State Park.
