Friends Of The Matanzas Preserve Inc

Friends of Matanzas Pass Preserve is a volunteer Citizens Support Organization partnering with Lee County Parks and Recreation to care for the 60-acre Matanzas Pass Preserve on Estero Island in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Volunteers remove exotic vegetation, plant natives, and maintain the boardwalks and trails through the preserve's maritime hammock, tidal swamp, black mangrove forest, and beach ridge habitats. The group also runs guided nature tours and education programs for elementary, secondary, and college students.
