Friends of the High Line Inc

Friends of the High Line programs, maintains, and operates the High Line, a public park on Manhattan's West Side that is owned by the City of New York, in partnership with the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation. The park's planting design draws on the self-seeded landscape that grew wild along the elevated rail line for 25 years after the trains stopped running. As a nonprofit, the organization relies almost entirely on private support to keep the space free and open daily, and it runs art, education, wellness, and tour programming alongside horticultural care.
