Friends of the Gottfried Prairie and Arboretum is a Fond du Lac, Wisconsin nonprofit committed to the preservation of the native plant community of wildflowers, grasses, and trees, plus the promotion of the Gottfried Prairie and Arboretum as a recreation and environmental education destination. The site includes more than 40 acres of restored native prairie, roughly 10 acres of lowland shrub community, and a 5.5 acre arboretum designed to represent Wisconsin's Tension Zone, where northern and southern plant communities overlap. The group maintains interpretive trails and a wildlife pond, and runs educational events and native plant sales.
