Friends Of The Forest Preserves

Friends of the Forest Preserves unites people to protect, promote and care for the roughly 70,000 acres of forest preserves in Cook County, Illinois, with the goal that land, water and life thrive there for plants, animals and people. Its work spans habitat restoration with volunteers, advocacy for responsible management of preserve land, and a Conservation Corps that trains and employs crews to remove invasive species and restore native plants. The organization is based in Chicago.
