Friends Of The Forest

Friends of the Forest supports Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park, roughly 14,000 acres along the Mississippi River north of Memphis, Tennessee. Its stated purpose is to help park staff maintain the park's ecological resources and expand its recreational offerings. The group raises money and organizes volunteers for nature programs, wildlife rehabilitation, youth camps, trail and boardwalk repair, and park events.
