Friends Of The Duck River Inc

Friends of the Duck River works to preserve the natural beauty of the Duck River and protect the residents and wildlife nearby. Based in Columbia, Tennessee, the group organizes community river cleanups, raises funds for legal action, and campaigns against a proposed 300-plus acre regional landfill sited near the river in Maury and Hickman counties. It also issues legislative alerts when bills before the Tennessee legislature would weaken river protections.
