Friends Of The Drew Forest A Nj Nonprofit Corporation

Friends of the Drew Forest is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) in Madison, New Jersey, founded by area environmental leaders, community volunteers, and Drew University alumni to permanently protect the roughly 47-acre Drew Forest as open space through a conservation sale. It has led a public campaign to raise the funds needed for Madison Borough to acquire the forest from Drew University. The group also documents the forest's ecological value, citing cleaner air, stormwater protection, aquifer recharge, carbon sequestration, and relief from the urban heat island effect, and maintains public access to its walking trails.
