Friends Of The Boston Schoolyards

Friends of the Boston Schoolyards advocates for and supports outdoor teaching and learning for all Boston Public School students as an integral part of the curriculum, and supports the development and maintenance of schoolyards as vital public spaces. It promotes nature based learning as part of the daily school routine and runs the Joy of Learning Mini Grant Program, which awards small grants each year to Boston teachers for creative outdoor learning projects. The organization also publishes newsletters and provides resources for teachers, families, and community members.
