Friends of the Blufflands promotes sound conservation practices in the Coulee Region blufflands around La Crosse, Wisconsin, and acts as a voice for the many people who value the blufflands for the quality of life they provide. Its work includes restoring and maintaining prairies and forests, controlling invasive species, identifying and preserving rare species, and educating the public on the value of the blufflands. The group also advises on trail construction and advocates for keeping the blufflands natural, working with university groups, civic organizations, and volunteers.
