Friends of the Berkshire National Fish Hatchery is an independent nonprofit that partners with the US Fish and Wildlife Service to help sustain the hatchery in New Marlborough, Massachusetts. It educates the public about the hatchery, freshwater ecosystems, and related conservation and restoration work, and supports education for school-age youth and their teachers. The group runs monthly fishing derbies for children 13 and under from April through September, plus an annual open house, and encourages environmentally responsible recreational fishing in the Berkshires.
