Friends of Pickman-Remmer Wetlands is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the preservation, conservation, and history of an 87 acre state-owned conservation area in Oakdale, New York, adjoining the Grand Canal within the Connetquot River estuary. It supports New York State DEC management of the site and runs educational programming and public access such as bird watching and nature trails. On-the-ground work includes native plantings to enhance bird habitat, trash removal, and building bird observation stations.
