Friends of Moeckel Pond is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) in Windham, New Hampshire, formed to restore Moeckel Pond after its dam was opened for repairs and the pond drained. Its stated aim is to develop for the Town of Windham a premier pond, wetland and nature area providing wildlife and environmental protection, educational experiences, historical renovation, passive water sport activities, and a fire protection reservoir. The restored 40 acres of wetland reconnect a wildlife corridor along the Atlantic Flyway and open formerly private land to public paddling, fishing and birding.
