Friends of Missoula Parks is a 501(c)(3) founded in 2002 to support parks, trails, and urban forestry in Missoula, Montana and the surrounding area. Its board-led projects have included installing bear-proof garbage canisters in city parks, building and rebuilding pedestrian and bicycle trails on Mt. Sentinel, and constructing a bridge and trail connection between the Rattlesnake Valley and the University of Montana. The organization also acts as a fiscal sponsor for related community efforts such as tree planting and skate park projects.
