Friends Of Lower Muskingum River

Now operating as the Lower Muskingum Conservancy, this 501(c)(3) land trust was originally incorporated in 2002 and works to conserve and protect natural areas in the lower Muskingum River watershed in Ohio. It protects land through ownership and conservation easements across Washington, Morgan, and Noble Counties, acquiring parcels that hold headwaters, water-filtering plants and trees, and pollinator habitat. It also runs education presentations for youth in the watershed and keeps trails open to the public at sites such as the Luke Chute Conservation Area.
