Friends of Lake Concordia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed in 2024 and based in Vidalia, Louisiana, serving Lake Concordia near Ferriday. Its stated purpose is to preserve and protect Lake Concordia and its tributaries from indiscriminate waste, protect wetlands and aquatic habitats, and ensure public recreation and environmental education. Current projects include a Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries biological study, water level gauges, weir and drainage work, tributary cleanups, and education on lake access, safety and the Mississippi Flyway.
