Friends of Lake Algonquin is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) founded in 2019 and based in Wells, New York, in the Adirondacks. It is dedicated to the protection, stewardship and sustainability of the natural environment and human communities of Lake Algonquin. Its work focuses on lake sedimentation, invasive Eurasian milfoil control, debris removal and goose management, alongside educational programs and resident surveys that set project priorities.
