Friends Of Istokpoga Lake Association

Friends of Istokpoga Lake Association is a Florida nonprofit corporation formed in August 1998 by residents and users of Lake Istokpoga, the fifth largest lake in Florida and the centerpiece of Highlands County's lakes. Its stated goal is to preserve the quality of Lake Istokpoga for future generations, including the lake itself and the wildlife that lives in and around it. The association is member-supported, publishes a newsletter, and documents the lake's fishing, birdlife, and connected waters such as Arbuckle Creek and the Istokpoga Canal.
