Friends Of Hoja Nueva

Hoja Nueva rescues, rehabilitates, and rewilds endangered wildlife in the Las Piedras region of the Peruvian Amazon, with a focus on carnivores such as small and medium-sized wild cats released through its Khan ReWilding Center. The organization also runs a solar-powered research station studying mammal and reptile population dynamics, reproductive ecology, and diet using camera traps. It protects more than 3,000 hectares of primary rainforest inside a larger 100,000-hectare conservation corridor and trains conservation professionals through internships and field courses.
