Friends Of Historic Heishmans Mill

Friends of Historic Heishman's Mill is a Pennsylvania 501(c)(3) committed to increasing public access to the Conodoguinet Creek Water Trail at the mill and ensuring ongoing preservation of the mill and its dam in West Pennsboro Township near Carlisle. It runs educational programs on the history of the mill and water power in early Cumberland County, and on the role of water resources and water quality in the local environment. The group maintains and repairs the state-funded portage improvements at the mill, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
