The Friends of Helen Avalynne Tawes Garden and Arboretum supports the five-acre Tawes Garden on the Maryland Department of Natural Resources campus in Annapolis, working to ensure its perpetuation as a valuable natural resource for the people of Maryland. The group funds ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the garden as both a visitor destination and a wildlife sanctuary. It also publishes newsletters and articles, organizes events, and coordinates volunteers; the garden is free and open daily from dawn to dusk.
