Friends Of Florida State Forests Inc

Friends of Florida State Forests is a direct support organization of the Florida Forest Service, formed to assist the agency in expanding opportunities for recreation, environmental education, fire prevention and forest management within Florida's state forests. It raises money through memberships and donations, with up to 75 percent of member dues restricted to the member's local forest area and the remainder supporting general state forest projects. Its board of directors represents all areas of the state, and its programs include Operation Outdoor Freedom, which serves wounded veterans on state forest land.
