Friends Of Fakahatchee Inc

Friends of Fakahatchee is the 501(c)(3) citizen support organization for Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park in southwest Florida, founded in 1998. It provides financial and volunteer support to preserve the park's ecology and cultural heritage and to educate the public about its importance. The group runs guided swamp walks and tram tours, publishes educational material on the strand's natural history and orchids, and organizes citizen science projects, funded through memberships and private donations.
