Friends Of Enchanted Meadow

Friends of Enchanted Meadow owns and stewards nature preserves in Mendocino County, California, along the Albion River near Little River. The group works to protect forest and wetland habitat there, including habitat for great blue herons, ospreys, California red-legged frogs, northern spotted owls and coho salmon. Its work includes environmental litigation against clear-cutting, defending its sanctuaries from adjacent logging, and pressing for public participation in timber harvest plan reviews.
