Friends of Dragon Run

Friends of Dragon Run works to preserve, protect, and encourage the wise use of Dragon Run, a swamp-fed waterway on Virginia's Middle Peninsula in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The group owns and manages conservation properties across ten areas along the roughly 40-mile stream, and partners with organizations such as The Nature Conservancy and the Chesapeake Conservancy on land acquisition. It also runs monthly guided paddle trips, nature walks and hikes, volunteer property monitoring and citizen science, and education programs for schools and colleges.
