Friends Of Crystal Lake Inc

Friends of Crystal Lake is a volunteer 501(c)(3) in Orleans, Massachusetts dedicated to protecting, enhancing, and restoring the water quality and shoreline habitat of Crystal Lake, a 36 acre kettle pond. It has monitored the lake since 2000, commissioning third party water sampling and tracking phosphorus and nitrogen levels through the year. The group works with Town of Orleans agencies and other local pond groups on interim and long term restoration policy, framing nutrient loading from shoreline development as a threat to both the pond and Cape Cod's sole source aquifer.
